After chartering the classic Sparkman & Stephens Design No. 1663, TIZIANA numerous times this experienced Italian yachtsman decided to commission a yacht better suited to his individual needs and desires. Underway, her 100’ of flush deck, large cockpit and classically styled deckhouse, she is sure to remind her owner of a by-gone era.
Additional cues gleaned from classic S&S designs include Dorade boxes and butterfly hatches, as the client has expressed an intense desire to use natural ventilation wherever possible. Built using cold-molded wood construction techniques, she will displace 80 tons and glide along under 3,500 square feet of sails. Sailing will be simplified by the use of under-deck captive reel winches for the boom-furled main halyard and 2:1 main sheet.
Below the deckhouse sits a spacious salon with views all around and a navigation area forward. Aft of the salon are a full beam master and 2 guest rooms, all with en-suite heads. Just forward of the salon is an additional guest room with en-suite head and the crew quarters, including berths for 6, a galley and separate crew mess. The interior will be finished in the Herreshoff style, bright work below the waist-line and finished white above.
